Broadway meets Vegas with Vanessa Carr. Vanessa is a world-class entertainer known for her dynamic musical performances and genuine connection with audiences. A singer and dancer recognized for her emotional interpretations, humorous renditions, captivating storytelling, and magnetic stage presence, Vanessa sparks joy in the hearts of her listeners.

Her ever-growing repertoire spans a diverse variety of genres, including Broadway show tunes, the Great American Songbook, opera, international favorites, and soulful standards. Her influences include Liza Minnelli, Barbra Streisand, Tina Turner, Lady Gaga, Frank Sinatra, Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Dionne Warwick, Linda Eder, and Linda Ronstadt.

Also specializing in “The Star-Spangled Banner,” Vanessa is an award-winning performer who has kicked off Detroit Lions and Tigers games with her rendition of the national anthem. She has also performed the Canadian and American national anthems for the Detroit Free Press Marathon and at the start of the 68th Annual Ford Fireworks in celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary. For the last decade, Vanessa has sung “The Star-Spangled Banner” before the Detroit Turkey Trot.

Among her many performances, Vanessa was also a member of the Detroit Pistons House Band and has performed with other accomplished and rising Metro Detroit bands, one of which opened for The Jacksons at Detroit Music Weekend. She has shared the stage with Chicago drummer and co-founder Danny Seraphine, Twinkie Clark of The Clark Sisters, and Motown’s own Martha Reeves. Vanessa has also worked alongside Italian tenor Aaron Caruso of The Sicilian Tenors and Dino Valle of the Bellini Opera Theatre.

Vanessa takes great pride in her Italian heritage and finds joy performing at Italian festivals and venues throughout the area. She has been featured as the opening act in the Andiamo Celebrity Showroom for Las Vegas showman Frankie Scinta, and audiences can also find her performing during the holiday season at Frankenmuth’s Bavarian Inn.
